Step1

Purchase your laser measuring tape.Any hardware or do-it-yourself home store carries

them.Pay attention to the units used by the laser measuring tape you choose before

you finalize your purchase.Some models allow you to choose if you want your readings

in metric units,others don't.

Step2

Position yourself in front of the target you want to measure the distance to.

Step3

Aim the laser directly at your target.

Step4

Press the "Read" button, or its equivalent,on the laser measuring tape.

Step5

Look at the LCD screen to obtain your distance reading.Most laser measuring tapes are

accurate within 1/8 inch when measuring distances less than 325 feet.
